Image Information

Quoted from Bob Franke @ http://bf-astro.com

NGC 5395 and 5394 , also known as Arp 84, are two interacting galaxies in the constellation Canes Venatici. The larger, NGC 5395, is at a distance 165 million light-years and NGC 5394 is 162 million light-years away. NGC 5394 is thought to have cart wheeled through NGC 5395, instead of a grazing encounter.

This image is a bit weak in data at this point but will have to wait until later for additional data to be added. As of now this image consists of 16 luminance images - 15 minutes each all taken at -20°C at bin 1x1. The RGB data consists of 4 - 15 minute red, 5 - 15 minute green, and 7 - 15 minute blue images, all at -20 and binned 1x1. All images used so far totals 8 hours. All data was acquired using MaxImDl/CCD version 6.14 using ACP 8.1.  Pix Insight version 1.8.5 was used for processing. Dithered guiding was on.
