St. John's North Wall Project: May 19,
2012
What these
photographs attempt to show is the bend in the studs and posts. What is
termed as "parallax" in photography is described an apparent tilt or lean to
straight object. A good example would be a photograph of a building which
appears to be slanted. This is not the case here. These wall beams and studs
are, for the most part, straight most of the way up and then curve backwards
toward the addition. One of the posts, guessing they are 4x6, is actually
split about 3' from it's top. In most of the pictures you can see where the
roof structure is being supported by scaffolding set up in the addition
side. We have an estimate for the engineering costs and should be getting
construction costs soon.
