These are pictures we took while approaching Whittier. Well I took them, Marty was sleeping like normal people do. It never really got dark at this time of year and we were only 20 days from the Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year and the day that the sun sets the shortest time. You could have read a book out on the balcony all night without straining your eyes. Contrary to winter when you never see the sun for months depending on how far north you are. Not my idea of a place to have a remote telescope.
